Hello Everyone,
Janna & I will be heading out this week for the Market Fair at Fort Frederick in Big Pool, MD. We will be setup somewhere near the Fort, camping next to Bryant & Pam White of White Historic Art.

If you're going to be attending, please be sure to drop in and say hello! We will have copies of the Current Issue of On The Trail (as well as all of the available back issues) with us and our expanded line of Wm. Gatliff & Company wares.

I hope to see you there!
Jason

Hi Chip,

Nope won't be camping this year. I'll give you the low down if I see you. Are you staying out there? I haven't heard from you in awhile.

I didn't think about one thing though. We had a couple tornados touch down in the area, killer straight line winds, and monsterous rains last night and today. I wonder how the Sutlers and early campers fared? I know it did this a couple times when we were running the Market Fair and it caused logistical nightmares getting folks out of there.

IT DID! My all wheel drive Subaru got out of camp fine, but a larger SUV got in OK, but getting out with a small trailer it didn't do so well. The normal exit route down by the treeline that would run straight and level to the parking field and then to the visitor center..., was closed off..., they had a nice crop of rice growing there (at least it looked like a rice paddy down there.)

It was a good time though, even with the rather cold temps. Today is set up and scrub off the mud day for the canvas bits. Dry out the ropes, and put up the gear day..., after it stops drizzling a bit.

I wasn't able to get out there at all. Since Saturday was such a decent day and we haven't had many, I had to take advantage of it and get my yard cut, start on a chicken coop that I need to build in a hurry and a myriad of things that the weather has prevented me from doing. Sunday I had a dulcimer gig at a local festival, so I just plain had no time. I really needed to pickup some new cloths to replace my worn out ones. Woodsrunning is hard on clothing, that's fer sure! I'm sorry to have missed everyone there. I had alot of people I would have liked to seen.
