after months of trial and error of trying to make my own pair of center seam moc I finally got a pair to come out looking right instead of looking like elf shoes I tried to follow patterns in books and on the web but no matter what couldn`t get them right. But I did tonight instead of following all the patterns I made an adjustment and at the center cut a deeper V in them you know around the toes area they came out nice....Just thought I share this little bit of info

Cool.

Next time, you might try this one; a type which doesn't have the "V" cutout running under your toes. :

Congrats on figuring "it" out, I know it makes me happy when I do the same on something new I'm learning. Just thought this might help, it's a link to a page on how to make center seam puckertoe moccasins, there's also interesting articles on how to make other southeastern native clothing of the 1800's. http://www.nativetech.org/seminole/moccasins/construction.php
If the link doesn't work directly copy and paste it into the address bar.
