I was wondering what you all use for fack tats. I use a fine pointed sharpy, but by the end of the day it is all mostly gone.

I have a really cool marker that marks in an "aged" look. I got it from some make-up people on a film set. I have yet to find them again. I gave away the other two that I bought and selfishly wish I hadn't.
I will try again to find their maker.

Does anyone have a good source for pictures of period native tattoo designs?

I am specifically looking for some designs used by Huron or Pottowatomi.

Any info would be helpful!!

I see this is an OLD thread but...

I give my son tattoos using Sharpies sometimes. What I've found makes all the difference is first washing the skin down with alcohol, it takes the natural oils and stuff off so that the marker sticks better. Afterward you're done drawing it pat the area down with face powder and it makes the ink look like its actually set into the skin rather than painted on.
