|The 1st thing when doing this trail food is to cut the youngest nettles that you can find. Be sure to were gloves and keep your shirt sleeves down, you don't want to be stung. Once they are cut soak them in a pot of water for around 20 to 30 minutes. Make sure they are clean, then you can boil them or dry them off and fry them in bacon grease or, if you have it, butter. They taste like any greens and after soaking them, you don't have to worry about them stinging anymore.
