Ok, So this is not a flip, in that it is not flipped, never the less it's a nice 18th, 19th century drink. For an Admiral's flip you will need: 1/2 cup of chilled brandy. 2 tablespoons of raw washed sugar cane, 1 1/2 cups of champagne, 1 nutmeg. To make: Combine the brandy and cane sugar and stir it til the sugar is desolved, add the campagne, dust with the freshly grated nutmeg, and serve into a cold tankard. The proportions of the ingredients are arbitrary. I'm sorry but it's not a trail food but could be used at the end of a hard and cold scout, when you wold like to celebrate your survival.
Regards to all, Paul
