needed: Large saucepan with a tight lid, 2 table spoons of raw washed cane sugar, 1 lemon, 1/2 pint of Pussers or Myer's dark rum, 1/4 cup of brandy, 1 pint boiling hot water. To make: place lemon zest and sugar into aaaaaaathe soucepan with rum and brandy, warm over medium heat til the sugar is melted, turn of the heat and light the mixture with a candle flame or lighted spunk, let the solution flame for 2 minutes and then cover to put out the fire, squeez the juice from the lemon into your concoction and pour in the boiling water. let stand for 5 to 10 minutes and taste it, add sugar to taste. WARNING--- If used on the trail this will facilitate heat loss ----DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL AND USE FIREARMS----do not share with native peoples, do not enter into any trades, avoid the companionship of women of questionable repute.
