|This is a good thing to know, but I'm not sure how to tell you what to look for.
In the north woods there are many kinds of moss. One of the thickest works very well for keeping fresh caught fish. If you wrap your fish in this moss, and keep the moss wet, the fish will keep for three days, Of course I can't guarantee that in southern climes. It does help though.
As to locating the correct kind of moss - you'll just have to experiment.
