|I enjoy a change of pace from parched corn from time to time & dried hominy does the trick for me. Soak it up to rehydrate in water till it swells, bring to a boil & add some fried bacon with a little drippings. If I'm fixing it in the settlements & have a few more luxeries I'll substitute sausage & add a little flour & corn starch to thicken & make gravy & serve over a slice of homeade bread or corn bread.
