|An early spring plant, the Marsh Marigold or Cowslip can be eaten with some preperation. Leaves should be picked as flowers begin to bloom, before full bloom. Stalks should be discarded, boil leaves in water for ten minutes. Throw out water and repeat two more times, for a total of 30 minutes boiling time. Water should not be used for any other project as it becomes toxic with the juices leached from the Marigold leaves. After boiling season to taste. I like a little butter.
