I have not been able to hunt much this yr due to family obligations but this morn I got a pretty nice bird with my Caywood 12 ga english game gun. The birds gobbled good on the roost but shut up when their feet landed on solid ground (HENS) They started back in about an hour occasionally gobbling which told me he still had hens just not as many. This bird left the flock an come in looking for the lone hen an got a load of shot instead. He gobbled 6 maybe 7 times enroute an I pulled the trigger at 25 yrds. He has a 9 inch beard an 1 inch spurs and weighed 19 lbs.
