This horn was a commissioned piece by a private collector. He asked for the images on the horn and I did my best to accommodate him. One thing he wanted was a portrait of his wife which I set in a cameo window bracketed by lilac blossoms (her favorite flower) at the bottom of the horn.

If you really apply yourself in another 12-15 years you might be pretty good at scrimshawing. Just pulling your chain. That is some beautiful work your doing. Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!

Mike,

That is "silver wire" it's actually a ribbon of some kind of silver alloy. The centers of the flowers are sterling silver wire.
