This is the best I can do at 25 yards. Any suggestions? Very powerful load, though. More White guns are availalble at www.whitemuzzleloading.com. Here's the staphaunce lock close up. My perception is that this is a Rifle Shoppe lock. I think it takes a lot of work to take a Rifle Shoppe kit and make this . This is a big long gun. Very steady.

This gigantic 12 gauge gun has a Rifle Shoppe Snaphaunce Musket lock circa 1600 and a 44 inch barrel. Recoil is slight because of its immense size. You can access more White guns at www.whitemuzzleloading.com. I have seen several of these recovered archaeologically. I have never seen an original example which was intact and in anything other than relic status. .62 smoothbore 41 1/2 inch barrel, of about the 1625 time period. It shoulders surprisingly well. If I was to order this gun again, I would keep the rear sight but also ask for a sling, and the metal browned. Leonard Day is at 413-527-0184 This is a big .62 caliber pistol in a test photo
