My friend Johann and I butchered 3 deer for the Seven Years War School
After a very short battle 187 defenders were dead. Three men were spared, Travis's black servant, a black cook, a Mexican who said he wasn't fighting, and the women & children. Approximately 1600 Mexican soldiers died during the siege and the battle.
Col. Travis is killed in the first few minutes of the battle. We portray death by putting sword tips and rifle muzzles to the ground and either freezing in place or bowing our heads rather than falling on the concrete pavement.
On March 6th, 1836 over 5000 Mexican soldiers attack, under the red flag signifying "no quarter".
